Thank you for visiting my website and I hope you will find it useful, please do not hesitate to call me if you have any questions on 0794 707 1908 Psychosynthesis counselling combined with Emotional Freedom Techniques All of us want to be happy, to have close loving relationships with our family and friends, to have good physical health and to be at peace with ourselves. But life can be tough for some of us and instead of achieving health and happiness we get depressed or stuck in our anger and sadness and end up taking it out on the very people that we love and care about. To help sooth us from our uncomfortable feelings we drink or eat too much, anaesthetise ourselves by spending hours on the internet or watching television or the endless distractions that are part of our world today. Sometimes those feelings are so painful we will do anything to not feel or think. We become obsessive compulsive, alcohol or drug dependent. We can become abusive and violent or a victim that feels unable to stand up and walk away. If this sounds familiar then perhaps talking to someone could help you to gain some clarity. How could Psychosynthesis help? Psychosynthesis was founded by the Italian psychiatrist Roberto Assagioli (1888-1974). Psychosynthesis is a philosophy that seeks to integrate the mind body and spirit around a unifying centre, the self. It makes use of the human ability to choose and use our will (not to be confused with will power). It acknowledges the presence of a transpersonal / spiritual realm in all human beings. It systematically helps people to understand and actively master their problems, improve relationships and help give life a greater sense of meaning and purpose. Psychosynthesis recognises and embraces the contributions of the most relevant and effective approaches to psychology. EFT or Emotional Freedom Techniques sometimes known as 'tapping' or 'acupuncture without the needles' is a very effective technique of relieving anxiety and fears and the more heavy emotional states such as anger. If you are struggling with high levels of stress caused by work, family or have come to a point in your life where nothing seems to satisfy a combination of counselling and EFT could be enormously helpful to you. I received some sessions of EFT from Cynthia Rao as I was feeling very anxious. Cynthia was very professional and intuitive. She knew her stuff and guided me through the elements of EFT. I had previously suffered from headaches on a daily basis in which I need to take tablets for, after a session of EFT with Cynthia I found that my headaches had subsided and I have not taken any tablets since. With EFT I have found a way I can work with my feelings of anxiety and feel much more optimistic about the future. I want to thank Cynthia very much and I will certainly seek her counselling services again M.P. See what other people say about their experience of counselling. Click here Lonely, isolated? Does the thought of speaking to someone make you feel embarrassed and self conscious? Taking the first step of contacting a counsellor can be a huge relief. But whatever it is that makes you hesitate take a moment to think about what it would be like to have someone you can unburden yourself with in an empathic, confidential and non-judgmental environment. I work with some very effective techniques that I customise for each client depending on what issues they wish to bring to our sessions. Every client is different and so needs a different approach but what stays the same is the empathic and non-judgmental attitude. I suffered very badly with OCD it had taken over my life. Working in therapy with Psychosynthesis techniques and EFT I found that little by little the fear and anxiety I was carrying lessened. I feel as though I am a very different person and in a very different place from where I was six months ago. J.M.
